Non-Chemical Control
At Enviroguard, we take pride in using environmentally-friendly techniques wherever possible. Several examples of these techniques are provided in the relevant sections of this website.
A further example is our use of the Exosect Clothes Moth System, designed specifically to control the highly destructive larvae of the clothes moth. We are the sole UK distributor for this product.
It uses a synthetic female pheromone to attract the male moths into a dispenser where Exosex Entostat powder, combined with the pheromone, is situated. Males are lured to the dispensers and once they enter the powder sticks to their bodies. The senses of the coated moths are overwhelmed and they cannot detect females; as they leave the dispenser, they too attract other males, thus spreading the confusion effect even further.
